Footsteps is a mother-and-daughter family practice built on three generations of dedication to foot health. Following in the footsteps of our grandmother—who was also a chiropodist—we continue her legacy of compassionate, patient-centred care. Podiatry has always been part of our family, and we are proud to bring that tradition, knowledge, and passion into every aspect of our work.

Lucia
Podiatrist BSC Hons
Lucia graduated from Huddersfield University with a First Class degree in Podiatry and has been a valued member of the Footsteps team for eight years. She specialises in routine and essential footcare with particular expertise in mycology, skin and nail health, diabetic footcare, and biomechanics. Lucia is known for her gentle manner, thorough clinical approach, and dedication to providing personalised, high-quality care for every patient. Outside of work Lucia is a devoted mum to her two-year-old son. She enjoys swimming, cooking and taking relaxing walks. She also has a passion for interior decorating and design.

Elena
Elena is the lead podiatrist at Footsteps and has been dedicated to the profession for over 26 years. Throughout her career she has developed a deep passion for helping people overcome foot and lower-limb problems and she still loves meeting new patients and making a positive difference to their daily comfort and mobility. With extensive experience across all aspects of podiatry, there are very few conditions Elena hasn’t seen or treated. She particularly enjoys working with more complex or challenging cases of foot pain, using techniques such as fascial manipulation, foot mobilisation and advanced clinical procedures. Nail surgery and specialist treatments are also among her areas of expertise, where her calm, confident approach helps patients feel at ease. Outside of the clinic, Elena is a keen gardener who enjoys growing her own vegetables. She also loves getting outdoors for long walks with her dog Ruby.
